- ⭐ = Horrible. I couldn't finish reading it.
- ⭐⭐ = Bad. I read to the end, but will never read that author again.
- ⭐⭐⭐ = Fair. I'm willing to read more from this competent author.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Good. I enjoyed the book, or thought it was significant. Would recommend.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Excellent. Highly recommended. Well-written and important. A book to be read more than once.
